We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive architectural tour of Hamilton Grange National Memorial in New York City, led by Naomi Kroll Hassebroek, B.A. ’93 and Rice Architecture Dean Igor Marjanović.

Hamilton Grange is the only home ever owned by U.S. founding father Alexander Hamilton. Naomi will provide fascinating insights into the work of preserving Hamilton Grange (including its two moves), its historic rural-turned-urban context, and the life of Alexander Hamilton. This will be a wonderful opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of one of New York City’s most cherished landmarks and connect with fellow Rice alumni who share a passion for architecture, history, and lifelong learning. Join us after the tour at Hamilton Hall for a round of drinks and informal conversation. Igor Marjanović will be in attendance to answer any questions you have about the School of Architecture.

Naomi Kroll Hassebroek is a senior conservator with the National Park Service. She provides technical preservation services to parks through the Historic Architecture, Conservation, and Engineering Center. She holds a B.A. in Art History from Rice University and a master degree from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts. Naomi has worked on diverse projects across the US, preserving historic houses, industrial infrastructure, Cold War fallout shelters, lighthouses, and civil rights sites.
